Yuval Doron Kastelmann

On his way to work, Yuval Doron Kastelmann, z"l, an attorney, witnessed an ongoing terrorist attack at a bus stop at the entrance of Jerusalem. He immediately left his car and rushed to the scene of the attack where he was able to neutralize the terrorists and prevent additional casualties. Tragically, he was mistaken for a terrorist himself and was shot by soldiers in the vicinity. Severely wounded, he was transferred to Shaarei Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem Although the medical team worked for hours to save his life, he succumbed to his wounds. The attack took the lives of three other Israelis, not including Yuval, and wounded six others. Hamas has claimed responsibility for the attack. The three other casualties in the attack: Rabbi Elimelech Vaserman, 73, Hanna Ifargan, 60, Livia Dikman, 24.
