Efraim Jackman

Ephraim Jackman, z"l, fell in battle while fighting in the northern Gaza Strip.

"Ephraim Jackman was an exceptional person. He was skilled at every thing he gave his attention to, and he gave his attention to many things.  A studied Torah scholar, a talented musician, a lover of the land of Israel, Ephraim still managed to be something that so many struggle with - a true friend, and deeply loving son and brother.
With complete humility, Ephraim began to outshine his classmates at a young age. 
One September...my husband and I were driving my son Eitan and his friend Ephraim somewhere...I don't remember where.  "What did you do this summer, Ephraim?" my husband asked.
"I played games on the computer," he replied.
"Which one?"
"It's called Excel," Ephraim explained, "You get to play with numbers...have you heard of it?"

That was Ephraim."
