In Memoriam of:

Yulia Vekser

Age: 37

From: Be'er Sheva

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Police Sergeant Major, Yulia Vekser, z"l, was working as a security guard for the Nova nature party at Kibbutz Re'im when the terrorists entered Israeli territory and started shooting everywhere. The heroic policewoman saved many lives until she fell herself. She is survived by a husband and two children, aged 8 and 12.

Youlia served as the Head of the South District Operations Division of the Israeli police. She was born in Ukraine and immigrated to Israel in 1996. In 2005, she was recruited into the police, served as a police officer, and then continued to work permanently. Her main roles were as secretary in the Negev region and as head of the intelligence division in the south.
