In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Sergeant Yoni Golan, z"l, from Yehud-Monosson, died fighting the terrorists at Nahal Oz. He was a tank commander in the 77th Battalion.
He was a tank commander and jumped to fight the terrorists when he heard the alarms. They killed dozens of terrorists on the fence and then at the Nahal Oz outpost they defended with the tank soldiers of the 13th battalion's relief company, they eliminated many terrorists until the tank stopped working. Yoni decided to get out of the tank last and cover fire on his friends from the tank who ran to the shelter. The friends who got out first were saved and so were the other soldiers. Yoni the hero fell in battle and his bravery saved dozens of lives.
