In Memoriam of:

Yonatan Steinberg

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Yonatan Steinberg (1981-October 2023) was a distinguished officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), serving as the commander of the 933rd "Nahal" Brigade. With remarkable dedication, he held various significant roles throughout his military career.

Steinberg's military journey began in August 2000 when he enlisted in the IDF, ultimately becoming a combat soldier. He demonstrated his leadership qualities by serving as a platoon commander, company commander, and deputy commander of Battalion 931, contributing to combat operations during the Second Intifada. Steinberg's unwavering dedication resulted in his appointment as commander of the 933 Brigade in May 2023.

His life was tragically cut short in 2023 when he was killed in action during an exchange of fire with Hamas terrorists in the 2023 Gaza–Israel conflict. Yonatan was one of the most senior officers in the IDF to have been killed in the attacks.

Yonatan lived in Kibbutz Shomria, and leaves behind his wife and six children.

Remembrances of Yonatan Steinberg

A life beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Here we celebrate the memories, the joys, and the life of Yonatan Steinberg.

Good afternoon, Immaculée Ilibagiza!
My name is Varvara, and I am a producer of the Instantsiya film company. We are a team of specialists in the field of brand communication and video production. For years, we have been creating creative content for major brands and winning awards.
At the moment, our team is working on a large-scale documentary called "Doomsday Clock. The Final Countdown".
Today we are scattered all over the world. Without losing touch with each other, we decided to apply our skills and experience to make our contribution to the common good and create a supranational documentary project for a wide audience around the world.
Doomsday Clock is an international project of nuclear scientists aimed at monitoring the global nuclear threat. The hands of the metaphorical clock indicate the time left until the end of the world, and at the moment they are set at only ninety seconds until midnight.
The film features representatives of the world's scientific and creative community: nuclear physicists, IAEA staff, historians, philosophers, psychologists, experts on military conflicts, art stars, and religious leaders from all continents.
The aim of the project is to assess all possible factors and actual risks of a global nuclear catastrophe, and identify ways to save the world.
Filming will take place in April – May 2025, and the film will be available on global streaming platforms by the end of the year. We would like to invite you as the hero of the film. We would like to discuss with you your story
I am ready to answer any questions you might have.
We would be very grateful for your contribution. Thank you!
Best regards,
Varvara and the "Doomsday Clock. The Final Countdown" project team
