In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Yiftah Yahengilov, 66, of Ofakim was murdered by Hamas terrorists in his home. On the morning of October 7, Yiftah and his wife Maria, their daughters and grandson were at the family home. Yiftah went out to the stairwell to smoke a cigarette and then was shot dead by terrorists who entered the building. Maria left the apartment when she heard the noise and was also shot dead. Their daughters locked the house, and the terrorists who were unable to enter moved to another building. It was a relative who arrived at the building a few minutes later and discovered the couple's bodies.
