In Memoriam of:

Yiftach Gorani

Age: 51

From: Be'er Milka

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

His mother eulogized: “To my Yiftach, my precious son, it’s unthinkable for a mother to speak over her son’s grave, to cry for him. My Yiftach – whom Sivan and your friends affectionately called ‘Yifti,’ a nickname I never really agreed with because your name is so beautiful and suits you perfectly. You were handsome, both inside and out. You were grand and open, and the world was yours to create wonderful things in. My dear Yiftach, your life, crafted by your own hands, was tragically cut short. My beloved son, you won’t see the beauty you created, your Sivan, your beloved, your Negev, whom you were so proud to be the father of, your sons Bustan and Sade, the twins who are growing tall like you and now must find their way in life. What they have – Negev, Sade, and Bustan – you and Sivan planted in them. Your unique children, my grandchildren, told me to see the glass half full, to marvel and take pride in what you achieved in your full life, all that you built with your hands. That you were a loving son to us, a supportive brother to your siblings, a cherished husband to your Sivan, a special father to your children, and a friend to countless people. They told me not to cry because from now on, all of this is no longer for me, my Yiftach. See the good things and what he accomplished so far. I try to internalize their wise words. Rationally, it’s right, but it’s so hard for me, so very hard. You will forever be in my heart. Mom.”
