In Memoriam of:

Yehuda Natan Cohen

Age: 25

From: Shadmot Mehola

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Maj. Yehuda Natan Cohen, 25, served as a company commander in the Givati Brigade’s reconnaissance unit, from Shadmot Mehola. Yehuda fell in battle in the Gaza Strip.
Cohen's father eulogized: "He was one of those who freed Nahal Oz and saved hundreds, but he didn't tell us anything."
His sister, Vered, "Yudi, our dear and beloved brother, death came to us. How do you begin to sum up 26 years? We always said that it is appropriate for you to die a hero's death. We had a bond of sharing, of endless laughs. You were a man of earth and stability that we could lean on. Every shelf in your library was full of books on thought and history. A true man, you were true to yourself and did what you loved. We are proud of who you were in your life and in your death. Yodi, you didn't get to enter the chupa, instead of escorting you to the chupa, we accompany you to eternal rest."" she said. After that, the father told how "our Yehuda was named after my grandfather who was murdered in the Holocaust just because he was a Jew, and he will meet him in Heaven"
