First Sergeant (res) Yaron Victor Shahar, z"l, was a Chaplain in the Border Protection Corps when on reserve duty and the Rabbi of Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak in his regular life. He died defending his kibbutz from the invading terrorists.
Yaron is an amazing father, a loving partner, and a sensitive, funny, talented and smart man. who loved life and always surprised with his wit. Yaron loved his family with all his heart.
