In Memoriam of:
In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
St.-Sgt. (res.) Yaacov Ozeri, from Kfar Shamai, served in the 52nd company, 401 Battalion in the Armoured Corps. He fell in battle in the Gaza Strip. He left behind his partner who was expecting their first child in a few months.
His older sister, Nofer, eulogized him: "How do you eulogize Yaakov? Where are there people like you? You were the best of them all, my little brother, to be in your presence or just to say that you are my brother gave me a sense of honor. To hear how beautiful you are, how talented you are. A stubborn man of principles, Not giving up. My little brother who taught me to be a mother."
"On the way to Omri's funeral (a relative who was murdered at a party in Re'im) you told me not to break down, to raise the children happily. Love of my life, we will take care of Hagar and the girl you have already chosen a name for, save us a place and we will arrive one by one."
