In Memoriam of:

Yaakov Nadlin

Age: 36

From: Or Akiva

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Yaakov z"l left behind a wife, Ma’ayan, and four children. Killed on a Friday evening by friendly fire, a force firing at terrorists, accidentally hit a vehicle in which fighters were traveling.
Nadlin had a message for his friends just days before his death: “I want you to know and believe—we are the right people, in the right place, at the right time. I see in the eyes of each one of you the values and the pain and the readiness to do whatever it takes for the State of Israel to emerge from this crisis, and for Israel to win and the bitter fate to be turned into a victory. A victory for all of us. For the people of Israel. This is also a victory of good over evil in the whole world... I will not take off my uniform until the last of the prisoners returns home, whatever the government's decision is. Any other order will be considered clearly illegal in my eyes. We will win." Of blessed memory.
