Master Sgt. (res.) Shlomo Yehonatan Hazut, z"l, 36, of Ashdod – 9207th Battalion, 16th (Jerusalem) Infantry Brigade. Fell in combat in the central Gaza Strip. The son of Iris and Shimon, brothers of Hodia, Daniel and Tamar. David was a friendly and Zionist guy, a giving man who dreamed of serving to protect the country he loved so much.
