Shir z"l served as an operations sergeant in the Home Front Command and was killed in an attack by Hamas terrorists at the base. Her mother says: "She was a talented girl who excelled in everything she touched, whether in school or in the army. Not long ago she received a certificate of excellence in the army. That's how my daughter was. Amazing"
