Shay Shamriz

Shay, there are no words to describe how much I miss you. You helped me through dark times in my service and always guided me in the right direction and taught me how to be strong. You were the strongest person I ever met. I know our platoon wasn't the most behaved at times, but I think you would be proud of us for where we are now. We all fought together in reserves as one, helped each other, protected each other, and cared for each other. Now everyone is working jobs, traveling, and figuring life out. I'm so sorry you aren't here and I feel it isn't fair how someone as strong as you isn't here while I am. Whenever times are dark, or hard in life I think back to some of our conversations and how your wisdom helped me and it still helps me now. Your legacy will live on through the hundreds of soldiers lives you impacted and saved including mine. My kids will hear amazing brave stories about you. You are forever in my heart.
