In Memoriam of:

Shani Gabay

Age: 25

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

47 days after the Black Shabbat of October 7, the body of Shani Gabay, a recent law school graduate who served as a selector at the party in Ra'im, was identified. Gabay was last seen in a field shelter near Kibbutz Alumim, where errorists threw grenades into the shelter, according to Gabay’s two friends who stayed in the shelter and survived, each one losing a leg. Gabay was pulled out of the shelter and appeared to have returned to her car, where she was shot. The mayor of Yokneam, Simon Alfasi, said: "Yokneam is crying. Simply unimaginable. We were waiting for a different end. We wished so much that we would see our two at home soon. Young, talented and full of joy, her whole life was ahead of her. We hug the family and stand by their side. I I will work to commemorate Shani."
