In Memoriam of:

Shaked Havni

Age: 21

From: Nes Tziona

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Shaked z"l was killed at the Nova music festival near Kibbutz Re'im.

Shaked, who was supposed to celebrate her 22nd birthday at the beginning of November, was the eldest of the three children of Bela and Yossi Havni of Nes Ziona. "We all still don't understand that it happened," says Yossi in a broken voice. "One of her friends told me: 'I believe in fate, but there was a very big mistake here, it can't be that the heroine died at the beginning of the movie.'"
At the same time as she was studying at Golda Meir High School, Shaked was active in the Tzofim movement. "A staunch Scout," her parents describe, "as a teacher and counselor, who at the end of the 12th grade received a certificate of excellence." She was like a coach, friends of her age and younger ones consulted her. She took them to talks, empowered and directed them. She didn't let anyone around her be transparent or sad."
After military service as an artillery instructor, Shaked worked as a waitress in a luxury hotel in Mitzpe Ramon, to save for the big trip ("There were customers who loved her so much that they wanted only her to serve them").
Two months after she returned from the big trip in South America, she went with a friend to the nature party in Ra'im. "After the first alarms, at half past six in the morning, she called and said: 'Imushka, everything is up to us, as soon as there is a lull in the alarms, we will set off.'
"When I heard that there was an infiltration by terrorists, I rang and she wrote to me: 'Mom, wait, I'm already recording a message for you'. I didn't hear from her again."

"People always asked Shaked, how is it that she only has one dimple in her cheek," says Bela Havani, Shaked's mother. "So when Shaked was little, she really wanted dimples, like her little brother's. Once, in the first grade, she ran towards her teacher to hug her, ran into something sharp and got hit hard. The cheek swelled up and when the swelling went away, a huge dimple formed there- her dream of a dimple had come true."
