In Memoriam of:
In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
French-Israeli citizen Seline Ben David was unaccounted for since the early morning hours of October 7 when she was trying to get to the Supernova rave. Only on October 17 did her family learn she was dead.
Ben David went to the party in the early morning hours with another friend, but the two never reached the event.
The two women turned their car around when rockets began falling around 6 a.m., and ran to a field shelter on the outskirts of a community.
Ben David’s husband, Ido Nagar, last heard from her in those last frantic moments. He learned from others who sought refuge in the same shelter that his wife was alive and unharmed when they last saw her.
“She was evidently captured alive,” said Nagar last week. “I can’t even believe I’m saying these words, but we believe she’s alive and will return to us.”
Ben David moved to Israel at age 16, but didn’t serve in the army, said Nagar. She leaves behind her husband and a baby daughter.
