In Memoriam of:
In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Lt. Roi Nahari, 23, an officer in the Paratroopers Brigade, from Moshav Ora, just outside of Jerusalem, fell on Monday while battling Hamas terrorists in Kibbutz Kfar Aza, which had been under siege since Saturday.
His family donated five of his organs, each of which has since been transplanted into a different patient, believing that this would have been his wish.
His heart was transplated in a man, aged 63.
His lungs were translated in a man, aged 72.
His liver was translated in a woman, aged 44.
His kindey and pancreas were translated in a woman, aged 29.
His second kidney was translated in a woman, aged 61.
Nahari’s mother Iris issued a statement describing her son as an “esteemed officer,” who was “handsome and brave in every way.”
He studied at Jerusalem’s Boyer School, and, determined to enlist in a combat unit, underwent surgery for a sports injury, which involved a long rehabilitation.
He leaves a twin brother, who also serves in the Paratroopers Brigade, and two younger brothers.
