In Memoriam of:

Rotem Calderon

Age: 66

From: Kibbutz Be'eri

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Rotem Calderon, z"l, from Kibbutz Be'eri, was murdered in her own home.

Prior to her retirement, Rotem worked a local preschool director. After retiring, she was drawn to voluntary work at the assistance center for victims of sexual assault and violence in the Negev, as well as in a therapeutic rehabilitation community for those dealing with military post-trauma in the Gaza Strip.

According to those who knew her, Rotem was the woman you would want to know for the whole world, a woman whose good look  and good ear had a strengthening and healing power. Responsible and practical, free and brave. A woman the world needs so much.

Rotem was a devoted mother to Adam, Omer and Mika, and a wonderful grandmother to Aviv, Gal and Bar, and a beloved and loving figure to Mika and Roy,  her children's spouses, but she was also a 66-year-old young woman who knew how to go on life adventures that others would not have thought of.
