Rom, z"l, served as a commander of the patrol department in the elite Shaldag unit. Rom was a good friend of the singer Avraham Tal: "They called to tell me now that a close friend was killed, Rom Shlomi, officer in Shaldag, who was my neighbor in our "zula" in the sea for the last month..." shares Tal "Just a few days ago we were sitting together, he cooked delicious pasta, we ate and laughed... He is having a hard time and doesn't stop crying: "This a tsunami of national and personal pain."
