In Memoriam of:

Roei Saragosti

Age: 22

From: Nahal HaRoa

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Staff Sgt. Roei Saragosti, z"l, 22, from the solitary farm Nahal HaRoa fell during battle in the Gaza Strip. He left behind his parents, Avi and Yaara and his sisters Noam and Omer.
His sister, Noam Sargosti told "Roi was our middle brother between two sisters, he was a gentle and very happy child. He always had a smile on his face. He never refused any of our requests. He had a big and kind heart. He always wanted to be in the front. In one of our conversations in recent days, he was upset when his unit was informed that they would not be the first to enter the fighting in Gaza. In our last WhatsApp conversations he sent me messages with hearts. We tried to strengthen each other and maintain optimism."
The head of the regional council, Eran Doron, eulogized him and wrote: "My heart is broken to pieces by the fall of one of our best sons, the salt of the land, Sergeant Roi Sargosti from the lonely farm Nahal HaRae. Roy was a beloved boy, a talkative boy, who became a man of the Negev. About a month ago, he came with his father to the grave of the late Liran Almosnino after his fall to help Liran's family. One of many examples of the amazing person he was."
