In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Captain Raz Peretz, z'l, from Afula, the commander of the "Palsam" in the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade. When Raz understood the situation, he managed to warn a couple of friends who were at the Nova nature party to flee quickly, and thanks to him they managed to escape and their lives were saved. He had closed Shabbat and the holiday at the base and at 6:30 in the morning, he brought soldiers to the base, then charged at the terrorists and stopped them with his body. Raz was a man of joy. He worked as a D.J. and loved to be happy. Raz left behind his parents, brother and sister, and his fiancee.
