Oriya Hartom, z"l, 16, of Dolev, a West Bank community settlement, was one of two victims of the deadly terror attack at a gas station near Eli, north of Ramallah on Thursday evening (29 February). The terrorist drew into the gas station in a stolen car and started shooting at a car in which Oriya was a passenger.
The terrorist, who was identified as a member of the Palestinian Authority security forces, was shot and killed by the owner of the restaurant at the gas station. Magen David paramedics were quick to arrive on the scene, but were unable to revive Oriya, who succumbed to his wounds.
A student at the Shomria Yeshiva, Oriya was laid to rest on Friday (1 March) at the Jerusalem cemetery in a funeral ceremony attended by thousands. He is survived by his parents and five siblings.
