Ori Yaish

Age: 27

From: Modi'in Maccabim-Reut

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Sgt. 1st Class (res.) Ori Yaish, 27, of Modi’in, was one of two victims killed in a terror attack carried out on Friday afternoon (16 February 2024) at a bus stop at the Re’em Junction near Gedera. Four other people were wounded in the attack, two of them severely. Ori was on active reserve duty in the 16th (Jerusalem) Infantry Brigade. Paramedics quickly arrived at the scene and rushed him to the Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot, but the medical team pronounced him dead on arrival. In a funeral ceremony attended by hundreds, he was laid to rest on 17 February in the military section of the Modi’in cemetery. He is survived by his parents and family members.
