In Memoriam of:
Orel Abuhatzira
Age: 25
From: Tirat Carmel
In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Orel Abuhatzira, z"l, of Tirat Carmel, was murdered at the Nova festival where he worked as a bar manager.
When his mother called him that morning after hearing the news of the Hamas terrorist attack, he answered: "Mom, we're lying here on the floor." That was the last anyone heard from him.
Per a family member's obituary: "I've known him since he was born. His father called and told me that they had a child. I helped raise him. When Oral was 12 years old, they moved to Rosh Ha'Ain. He was a disciplined and quiet guy. When my mother passed away, he immediately came. He would do anything they asked of him. He loved Maccabi Haifa very much. He went to Maccabi Haifa games in Israel and abroad too. He would never say no, loved everyone and helped everyone. 3 weeks ago when his grandmother passed away, he called me and told me that he also lit a candle in memory of my parents.
He was the manager of the bar at the party, and that was his destiny. I saw him when he would visit his grandmother in Tirat Carmel. This is a very big loss. It is very difficult for me to talk about him. Going to bury such a child, who didn't have time to do anything in his life, didn't have time to get married, is very painful.
