In Memoriam of:

Omri Rot

Age: 25

From: Katzrin

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Sgt. 1st Class (res.) Omri Rot, 25, a young optimistic man with a big smile and a big heart who loved to travel, was killed by an anti-tank missile in the battles in Northern Gaza on December 7, serving as tank commander in the 53 Armored Reserve Battalion,188th Armored Brigade.

A resident of Katzrin, Omri was an immensely dedicated and valiant warrior. When the war broke out and Omri was called in to the reserves, his girlfriend recalled, “I asked him not to do it, but he said to me, 'If I don't do it, then who will?' That was Omri.” Omri is survived by his parents, Shlomi and Shirli, his sisters, Maayan and Gal, and his partner, Neta.
