In Memoriam of:
In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Noa Zender, a 22-year-old from Rishon Lezion, was murdered by Hamas terrorists at the Supernova music festival, October 7.
Five days after the Hamas massacre, her family was informed that her body had been found.
Her sister, Hen, a reporter with Channel 13 news, returned to work a week after the funeral, saying that she knew Noa would want her to get back to the field.
“We’re learning to come to terms with a new life, to deal with a new life, a life where our heart is broken, a life where there is an enormous hole at home,” Hen said during her first broadcast back.
Noa’s mother, Mali Zender, told the TV network that she “was special. She was full of generosity… she taught us about life.”
Hen paid tribute to her sister as “someone who knew how to conquer the world, knew how to do good for others and good for herself.”
“She danced and enjoyed herself with people she loved at that party until her last moment,” she said. “The circumstances are tragic and difficult and will be with us our entire lives, but when we look at photos of her, she never stopped smiling.”
“She shone light everywhere she went,” Hen added. “We swore at her funeral to choose life, and to spread her light.”
