In Memoriam of:

Nir Binyamin

Age: 29

From: Givatayim

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Captain Nir Binyamin from Givatayim always told his family that he would propose to his long-time girlfriend once the Israel-Hamas War was over. He was 29 years old when, in the Gaza Strip on Monday, Hamas forces fired a rocket-propelled grenade at the building within which he and his unit were operating. He fell in battle as a result.

An officer in Battalion 8208, Brigade 261, Binyamin was a "kind-hearted genius," according to Aliza Moshe, Binyamin's aunt. "He was a combat officer who gave up on getting released and chose to continue serving," she said.

Binyamin left behind a father, mother, sister and girlfriend.

Here we celebrate the memories, the joys, and the life of Nir Binyamin.

Hi Binyomin Family, my name is Miriam Atlas, I live in New York and I attend Shulamith High School for Girls, we had a project to make a poster board about a soldier who was killed by October 7. I received your son Nir to do a project on him and I’ve learned so much from him. He seemed like an amazing person and I hope you are continuing to have nachat from him. I wish you the best and I would love to send you a picture of what I wrote, please email me at matlas28@shulamithhs.org so I can send you what I have made for your son. I wish you an amazing and soothing, Andy only good news this year for you, your family, community and the whole Israel. Even though I am thousands of miles away we are ALWAYS thinking of you all and may we see the redemption of משיח במהרה בימינו wish you a Shana Tova
