21-year-old Sergeant Neria Balta z"l, a fighter in the Givat patrol, was killed in battle in the southern Gaza Strip. Sergeant Neria Balta, the late son of Lerahim and Bat Sheva, the second of 6 brothers, was born and raised in the town of Shebi Shomron.
Neria was a platoon sergeant in the Givati Military Police. His parents immigrated from Ethiopia as part of a group of Zionist families who immigrated to Samaria.
