In Memoriam of:

Naaran Eshchar

Age: 33

From: Shadmot Mehola

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Master Sgt. (res.) Naaran Eshchar, z"l, 33, served as a soldier of the 181st Armored Brigade’s 71st Battalion, from Shadmot Mehola. He was critically wounded when his tank flipped over in the North of the country.
Rav Eshchar was as a teacher at the yeshiva in Shamot Mahula. He was adored by his students, a gifted musician who composed tunes and wrote songs. "He wasn't an outer man, he probably wouldn't have liked the service in the last week either. He was a man of truth, of investigation. He didn't waste time on nonsense and touched the depth of things. About 4 months ago he donated a kidney and got an exemption from Reserve Duty, But when the war started - he chose to enlist anyway. After his death his family donated his organs.
