Mapal Adam, 25, the younger sister of television presenter Maayan Adam, was at the Supernova music festival where Hamas terrorists brutally killed over 260 fleeing partygoers and abducted a number of others, possibly in the dozens.
Mapal and her boyfriend Roi hid under a truck and played dead for hours until Hamas terrorists shot Mapal at close range. Roi survived.
Before she was shot, the two sisters were texting, said Maayan Adam.
“Don’t tell Mom,” wrote Mapal.
“I’m scared, Maayan,” wrote Mapal.
Maayan described their back-and-forth texts in a fraught interview on Channel 12. She asked for Mapal’s location, couldn’t understand why security forces hadn’t arrived, why no one was coming to save them.
“There’s a massacre, there’s a massacre,” wrote Mapal. “Bullets are hitting me in the head.”
Mapal’s boyfriend, Roi, called Maayan to tell her he would protect her. He lay on top of Mapal, taking bullets in his back and surviving to tell their story. The two had just moved in together the previous week.
“He told me she was brave when she died,” said Maayan. “I’m not sure he’s telling me the truth, I’m sure she was so scared. But unlike so many other families, we know what her last words were.” Source: The Times of Israel

Mapal,
Ton lumineux sourire a capté mon âme et ton doux visage reste gravé dans ma mémoire.
Peut-on imaginer un plus joli prénom, Mapal qui signifie Cascade. Oui, Cascade de beauté, de gentillesse, de joie de vivre, voila ce que m’inspire ta si adorable personne.
J’ai vu des dizaines de photos de toi, de Roei ton merveilleux compagnon, de votre petite chienne que tu tiens serrée dans tes bras. Je ne te connaissais pas Mapal mais ta disparition m’a bouleversée profondément.
Sur certaines photos, Roei et toi êtes en compagnie d’un charmant bébé. Vous souriez tous les deux et je pense qu’à ce moment, vous imaginiez que vous alliez bientôt être parents à votre tour.
Mais la barbarie des hommes en a décidé autrement et vous êtes ensemble, serrés l’un contre l’autre, pour toujours, loin de la furie, du sang et de la peur.
Hilli, votre amie, est avec vous. Elle habille les anges de ses tenues joyeuses, festives. Que son âme repose en paix.
Roei n’a pas supporté d’être séparé de toi. Comme je comprends sa détresse. Comme je ressens son désespoir.
A ta famille qui te pleure Mapal, je voudrais dire que quelque part en France, dans un tout petit village, la mémoire de Mapal, de Roei, d’Hilli et de tant d’autres sont honorés. Nous ne sommes pas Juifs mais nous sommes des parents qui comprenons la cruauté du drame que vous traversez.
Comment de telles abominations peuvent-elles encore se produire ? N’avons-nous rien appris des horreurs perpétuées contre le peuple Juif au travers les siècles ?
Mapal, que ta mémoire soit une bénédiction.
