In Memoriam of:

Liz Halfon Alharar

Age: 45

From: Kibbutz Holit

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Liz Halfon Alharar, z"l, was murdered in her hometown of Kibbutz Holit. She worked as an accountant.

The terrorists broke into her home, shot her husband Meir to death and mortally wounded her. As she lay bleeding, Liz put her daughter Adi in the closet and lay in front of the doors, thus saving the life of her household.

According to her sister, "Liz was a devoted mother. She took care of everyone before herself. She called me at 7:17 that Saturday morning to say that terrorists had broken into the kibbutz. Five minutes later Adi called me and said that her mother had been shot and that she was hiding in a closet."

Adi would spend 8 hours hiding under the blanket in the closet before being rescued. Overall, 20 of the neighbors were murdered or taken to Gaza by the terrorists.
