In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Liav Assayag, z"l, from Afula, was murdered at the Nova nature party.
In a tribute to him, Mayor of Afula, Avi Elkabatz, said: " [Liav] just wanted to dance and be happy but monsters interrupted his life journey that had just begun. Liav was a quiet and smiling guy who loved life, family and friends, a fighter and a former commander in the army. An engineer who was supposed to start his bachelor's degree at Ben Gurion University. He was laid to rest today in the cemetery in Afula after his body was identified. On behalf of all the residents of Afula, I share in the great sorrow of parents Eitan and Michal and brother Or and send them a big hug from all of us. May he rest in peace."
