In Memoriam of:

Lara Tannous

Age: 42

From: Ramallah

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Dr. Lara Tannous, z"l, 42, of East Jerusalem, succumbed today (Wednesday, 24 January 2024) to wounds sustained in the West Bank shooting attack on January 7. Tannous, a pharmacist, had worked in the pharmacy department at Jerusalem's Hadassah Medical Center for 17 years. She was traveling from Ramallah to Jerusalem when the attack took place. The terrorists blocked the road with their car north of the settlement of Ofra and fired upon approaching vehicles. Another Jerusalem resident, 32-year-old Amar Mansour, who was traveling in a different vehicle, was also killed in the attack. A Palestinian present at the scene of the attack provided initial first aid. Dr. Tannous was transferred to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital's neurosurgery unit after being resuscitated and given blood transfusions at the trauma center. She was laid to rest on Thursday, January 25 in a funeral ceremony held in Ramallah.
