In Memoriam of:

Jacob Shlomo Krasninsky

Age: 23

From: Jerusalem

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Yaakov z"l served as a fighter in the undercover unit, as "A fighter in his life and in his death". "Today I visited the family of Yaakov Krasninsky, a brave fighter in a special unit of the Israel Border Police, who fell near the Nahal Oz. Yaakov and his friends together with our standby squad fought a hard battle, few against many like in 1948, and saved several families in our settlement. I told his parents thank you, thanks to our sacrifice we can hug our children. I heard during a visit to the family about an amazing guy who grew up in an ultra-Orthodox home, set out on his own, completed high school almost alone, enlisted, became a fighter and a commander. This route was interrupted in the heroic battle on Saturday October 7th. We sat opposite each other, I'm from Nahal Oz, his mother is an ultra-Orthodox woman from the Ramot neighborhood, we hugged and cried and laughed together. It was a visit I will never forget."
