In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Maj. (res.) Itay Galea, z"l, 38, of Ramat Gan – Deputy Company Commander, Unit 8679, 679th (Yiftah) Reserve Armored Brigade. Killed in the fighting with Hezbollah in northern Israel.
Itay was the son of Asher and Liora's, father of Yahli who is starting first grade and Goni in kindergarten and was husband to Gal, who was in late stage pregnancy when Itay fell in battle.
Adiel Shlomo writes: Gala, one of the dearest people I knew in the service I was awarded as a Deputy Company Commander, when I took up the position of Deputy Company Commander in the 74th Battalion with me, he was one of the most task-oriented and contact-oriented people I met in the service, without any compromises in performance, this along with such a special way of motivating everyone , with a huge smile just like in this picture... a rare combination that you don't find in many people.
