In Memoriam of:

Itai "Houston" Hadar

Age: 27

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Itai "Houston" Hadar, z"l, from Be'er Sheva, was murdered along with his girlfriend, Zalta, at the Nova nature party.

Itai was an ecoactivist who worked a lot to prevent food waste in the city and, as his friends describe him, he had a great joy in life.

He called himself "Houston, we have a problem!" because he was a problem solver for everyone. He founded a community called Pipes of Abundance and swept hundreds of people after him. In order to save people, he placed refrigerators and filled them with fruits, vegetables, and all good things for anyone to come and take. Itai liked to cook and invite for Friday meals anyone who wanted to come so that he would not feel alone. His house was open and so was his heart, he connected people through food and through his music, he was a creator, wrote songs and composed them, and you would always always see him with a guitar in his hand no matter where he goes.

His sister Liran eulogized Itai:

"With me, a special man-child. He followed his own path until the end, he didn't give up until he felt that things were right for him and in the end, in the last two years of his short life, he finally found the right place for him,  a place where he was able to fulfill himself, to act out of His music, being loved, giving of himself to people and treating his wounds through understanding and helping others ". Itay loved music, was always connected to his guitar, kicked frames, kicked conventions, loved to laugh and loved people."
