In Memoriam of:

Ira Yair Gispan

Age: 19

From: Petach Tikva

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Sgt. Ira Yair Gispan, z"l, 19, of Petah Tikva - 75th Battalion, 7th Armored Brigade. Ira fell in combat in the southern Gaza Strip.

He is the first casualty in the count for the upcoming Memorial Day. According to the IDF, in recent days its forces in the southern Gaza Strip attacked a Hamas training post, killed terrorists in face-to-face combat, and identified a complex simulating IDF equipment.

Gispan was the son of Amit and Talia. He attended Oranim Elementary School, Feinstein Junior High, and later Brenner High School. He studied in the software engineering program, whose graduates were typically assigned to rear roles in the IDF, but he insisted on serving in a combat unit. His educator, Shai, described him as having a 'heartwarming smile' that made it difficult for his teachers to be angry with him 'even when he was up to mischief.'"
