In Memoriam of:

Ido Yehoshua

Age: 27

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Ido z"l served as Platoon commander in the elite Shaldag Unit. Ido was killed when he fought as a single force against dozens of terrorists. His wife Ziv, also an officer in the army, wrote about him: "You were the fulfillment of all my dreams, I waited so long to see you as a father and I knew how lucky I was that our child would grow up in your image - the most talented person I know, the smartest, funniest, most beautiful, moral and kind-hearted. There is no one who did not fall in love with you! I did not believe that such a perfect thing existed in the world! In the end I was left alone in the middle of my sixth month of pregnancy..." "From the first moment we met Ido it was clear that he was an extraordinary person. A warrior in his all his limbs. The strongest, the most determined. Along with all this, Ido hid under the mantle of muscles and roughness a gentle soul and the biggest golden heart there is. Through his rough and large hands he managed to penetrate everyone's hearts. Ido's smile and his positive energy infected everyone with a burst of optimism and endless laughter. He was the beating heart of the team. Ido was killed when he did the thing he believed in the most - to defend the State of Israel. He loved the army and the security system, he wanted to grow and develop in it and go as far as possible. And we all believed he would get there. We are saddened by your passing and grateful for the privilege of knowing you. We will be here forever for the family and your dear wife Ziv.״
