In Memoriam of:

Hayim Katsman

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

US citizen, Hayim Katsman, 32, z"l, was shot as he hid inside a closet in a shelter on the Holit kibbutz. He protected with his body his neighbor who escaped unharmed. Hayim was a human rights activist, extremely moral, a man of the land, a lover of people. After high school, he went to the army where served in field intelligence. He studied in the Open University political science, got an MA in political science from Ben Gurion University and a PhD in University of Washington’s Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies in 2021. His doctoral research focused on the "interrelations of religion and politics in the Middle East, focusing on Israel/Palestine."
