Gilad z"l served as a fighter in the Egoz unit. Gilad was one of the three fighters killed in a battle with a terrorist squad on the Lebanese border. Gilad is the grandson of Shula Peskin, chairman of Yad l"Banim, daughter of one of the five founding families of the Ramat Hasharon settlement.

Yesterday, a new Sefer Torah was passed on in a Los Angeles event with the names of fallen soldiers written all around it. They asked us to “adopt” a soldier by locking our eyes on one name. I focused on Gilad’s name. I will add specifically an extra prayer for him. May all the souls of our soldiers bring peace for our people. Thank you Gilad for defending Israel and consequently all Jewish people around the world. We will never forget you!
