Eytan was a student of the Hesder Yeshiva Kiryat Shmona an is survived by parents Dori and Shira and brothers and sisters.
Eytan grew up in the Nof Zion neighborhood in Jerusalem, was active in the Bnei Akiva branch in Armon Hanatziv and studied as part of the Neve Shmuel high school yeshiva in Efrat
Upon reaching the conscription age within the Hesder yeshiva, he enlisted in the first cycle of a military pilot that allowed the establishment of a Yeshiva class within the elite special forces units without having to sign a waiver for studies in the Hesder course. His friends and family members say that throughout the fighting he was determined and stressed all the time that they must continue fighting 'until victory' and added that they are strong and hold their heads up.
