From: Petach Tikva

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

1st Sgt. Elkana Navon, z"l, 20, of Petah Tikva – 906th Battalion, 828th Infantry (Bislamach/School for Infantry Corps Professions and Squad Commanders) Brigade. Elkana came 3 years ago from Petach Tikva, to study at the Hesder yeshiva and live in Kiryat Shmona. From the first moment he arrived in Kiryat Shmona, he stood out very much in his connection to the city: he loved Kiryat Shmona and walked around it a lot. He was very active in the Kav L'Chaim association for children with special needs that operates in the city and was very loved by his friends and all around him. About a year and a half ago, he enlisted in the Nahal Brigade and had time to go to the officers course and become a commander in a school for officers and a class commander in Battalion 906, Bislah Brigade. Elkanah fell in battle in Jenin, Shabbat Kodesh Parshath Re'e 27 Av.
