Eliya z"l fell in battle in the Gaza Strip. He leaves behind his parents and three siblings.
Yanovsky was a commander in a protective unit in the security division of the Airports Authority. In a special announcement from the Authority, it is written that "the management of the airport of Israel, the committees and the working public announce with great sadness his death in battle".
Alex Kuznitsov, head of the Protective Unit, the late Eliya's personal manager, paid tribute to him: "Eliya was promoted to a commanding position after about four months and had a bright future ahead of him in the security division. A talented, handsome young man, a soldier of the country, a fighter and an outstanding commander. This year he was debating whether to move to work In the service or to start studies.
