Dvir Barzani z"l, 20, from Jerusalem served as a soldier in the Paratroopers Brigade. He fell in battle in the Gaza Strip. Barzani was a swimmer in the Greater Jerusalem Association, he excelled mainly in the short swimmin events, trained until he was drafted into the senior team, completed a course for swimming instructors and became an instructor at the club. When he would go on vacation from the army, he would come to swim at the club.
Dvir studied at the Himmelfarb High School in Jerusalem and he is the fourth alumn from Himmelfarb to fall in the recent fighting.
