Dekal Soysa

A platoon commander in the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade. Dekal z"l was the only commander in his outpost when Hamas terrorists attacked. When he was called over radio and it said to him 'Suissa, you are the station commander', he knew that he would stay there and had to manage everything. He brought out the soldiers, gave them a short speech and told them to fight to the last drop of blood. His soldiers tearfully told that he saved them, and that his outpost did not fall and wasn't captured thanks to the heroism of Dekel and his soldiers. Most of the soldiers managed to survive in the protected room until Lotar anti terrorist soldiers arrived to evacuate them in the afternoon.
