In Memoriam of:

David (Katchko) Katzir

Age: 72

From: Kfar Azza

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

David (Katchko) z"l was murdered in the massacre in Kfar Gaza. "David you were an amazing father to Anat, Ehud, Yanai, Oriya and Aliya. A wonderful husband and partner to Eilat. An amazing grandfather to all the grandchildren. Loving brother to Dalia and Moshe. For the members of the kibbutz, you were a walking brand - Katchko, and what were you for me? The most amazing uncle in the world. You were always happy to see me with a huge smile that came from the heart, you loved to tell about your doves and the trips with the jeep. I was privileged to go out with you several times to chase floods or see floods in the kibbutz area. The kibbutz has been a magical place for me since childhood, a fun place to visit, a fun place to visit you. I remember as a child that you took me on a tour of the kibbutz's fields, on a tour of the barn and the attraction that fascinated me the most as a child was the kibbutz's dining room. We talked not long ago and I told you that I really want to relive a childhood memory and go eat in the kibbutz dining room. We said we would make a time. We didn't have time to do it and it will now have to stay only with the memories, after all there is no longer a dining room, no kibbutz and above all, there is no you. So everyone had their Katchko but they all agree on one thing. A special man, a salt of the earth, a real kibbutznik and above all a huge heart that cannot be described. I love you dear uncle and miss you endlessly"
