Sergeant David Bogdanovskyi, 19 years old, from Haifa, a fighter in the 603rd Engineering Battalion, formation 'Saar Megolan' (7), fell on Saturday, 23/12/23 in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip. He was promoted from the rank of sergeant to the rank of sergeant after his death.

Dear Vadim, Yulia and siblings and friends of David,
May God be with you all as you reflect on the sacrifice by this courageous young man while standing up for your adopted homeland, Israel. The strength of his commitment to faith and righteousness is recorded in heaven for eternity. "Greater love has no man than to give up his life for a friend." - and for a country also, I'm sure.
In Australia we have a powerful song about the Vietnam war, called "I Was Only Nineteen (A Walk In The Light Green)". I pray you get some comfort from that song which upholds the respect and honour that so many young men deserve for being so brave.
May God be with you all, especially Vadim and Yulia for raising such a wonderful young man.
