In Memoriam of:

Daniel Perez

Age: 22

From: Yad Binyamin

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Daniel Perez (22) was a person full of energy who was always surrounded by friends.
He had an adventurous spirit and loved extreme sports, especially wakeboarding.
In his personal journal, Daniel wrote: “How can I function better every day as a human being, soldier, crew member, and commander?” - a sentence that truly captured his character.
Daniel immigrated to Israel 10 years ago. He was a loving brother and son, deeply beloved by his family.
At a rally supporting families of the hostages, his father Rabbi Doron Perez took the stage tearfully to deliver a prayer for the safety of the hostages and soldiers.
Daniel’s sister, Shira Perez, said: “Daniel fills me with pride to be his little sister. I love you so much, Daniel, and miss you endlessly.”
Daniel served on a tank on the Gaza border and was taken hostage on that horrific Saturday.
For five long months, there was no information about Daniel's fate and his death was only pronounced in March, 2024. At the time of the writing of this entry, Daniel’s body was still being held captive by the terror organization Hamas.
