In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Sergeant Binyamin Tashgar Teka, z"l, from Jerusalem, served in the Golani brigade and died fighting the terrorists that infiltrated his army base.
On the morning of Otocber 7th, he didn't have a weapon because they weren't ready. He saw that there was shooting, his friends were killed, and he took a rifle from one of the soldiers, started shooting and succeeded in killing two terrorists, and then they killed him.
According to the Rabbi of his Ethiopian community, Binyamin was a good Jerusalem child. He always had only a smile, he was loved by his friends, he hid himself from the dishes. He was also a good student in his studies.
He was born in Ethiopia and immigrated to Israel at the age of five months. After 14 years in Rishon Lezion, the family moved to Jerusalem. He is the second brother out of six and he studied at the youth village Nachalat Yehuda. Benjamin loved the camaraderie in the army, the warmth and family.
